German Americans in Grand Rapids, Michigan: An historical survey by Wilhelm Seeger

Though often perceived as an overwhelmingly Dutch region by the rest of the state, Grand Rapids contains a far more diverse set of immigrants than commonly understood. In the present-day these include the Polish, Lithuaneans, Bosnians, Vietnamese, Mexicans, and other groups from around the world.

Active in the community for decades and the leading scholar of the German-American experience in West Michigan, Wilhelm Seeger leads us through the history of this remarkable group.
